Sunday is not part of the weekend!

By Ben Buck, post writer.

People commonly consider Sunday as part of the weekend, but that makes no sense, because it is the first day of the week. Some say the weekend is both ends of the week but then it would be the weekends, and weeks go forewords and can never go backwords. They have a start and an end, not 2 ends. People never consider January as part of the end of the year. Some people claim that Monday is the first day of the week but you just have to look at a calendar to prove that wrong. Jesus rose from the dead on Sunday, the first day of the week, the day after the sabbath (Matthew 28:1). The Seventh-day Adventists have church on Saturday, so if Sunday is actually the 7th day then oops. People also talk about “week days” or something is “During the week” but if some days are not part of the week what are they part of? Its because most people work Monday through Friday, so they say Monday through Friday are the weekdays and Saturday and Sunday is the weekend. But that's like school people saying that mid August through mid June is the yearmonths and mid June through mid August is the yearend. That makes no sense. Some people even consider Monday as part of the weekend if it is a holiday, which is stupid. Weeks are 7 days long, so all days are part of a week! So the weeks starts with Sunday and ends with Saturday, Ha!

And the names of the days of the week are pagan, so maybe we should rename them. We should name them based on what God created on the first days of the first week. The 1st day: Sunday, the day of the Sun, is derived from Hellenistic astrology. We can call it Liteday. The 2nd day: Monday or “Moon Day” we can call it Skyday. The 3rd day: Tuesday which comes from the day of Tiw or Týr, the god of single combat. We can call it Landay from Land, or Lantday from land, plant. The 4th day: Wednesday which comes from Wōdnesdæg 'day of Woden', reflecting the religion practiced by the Anglo-Saxons. We can call it Sunday, because God made the son, moon and stars in the 4th day. But that would be confusing, so Smooserday from sun, moon, star. Or Starday. The 5th day: Thursday from Thor the Norse god of thunder. We can call it Birday from Bird, or Fliesimday from fly-swim. The 6 th day: Friday from the goddess Frigg. We can call it Manday from man, or Anhumday from Animal, Human. The 7th day: Saturday, from Saturn. We can call it Restday or Sabbathday. So our new day of the week are:
1 st day: Liteday (Sunday)
2 nd day: Skyday (Monday)
3 rd day: Landay (Tuesday)
4 th day: Smooserday (Wednesday)
5 th day: Fliesimday (Thursday)
6 th day: Anhumday (Friday)
7 th day: Restday (Saturday)
But we need new names for the days of the months too. I will discus that in the next Prove It Post: When was Jesus born?
